If something or someone captures a particular quality, feeling, or atmosphere, they represent or express it successfully.
Lets take a second to look at the definition of the verb Capture: When I thought about it in more detail I realised that in fact it was the word Capture that was the most important word that I was trying to express to other people. You wouldn’t be wrong after all moment by its very definition is a point in time at which something happens.Īfter using these words many times over even though I knew what I meant by the saying it I never really thought about it in much detail and always subconsciously thought moment was the key and the most important word of the three in relation to my photography.
See whenever you say capture the moment in photography people naturally think you mean reach for the camera and just shoot the scene that presents itself in front of you. Whenever I am out with fellow photographers one of my favourite sayings I find myself repeating over and over again is Capture the moment and this got me thinking do they fully understand what I mean? The more I thought about it I realised that its not just about a beautiful scene but more the pursuit of those magical moments in time. Sounds a bit strange right but I love photography and even though I have a burning desire to be out in the mountains I also love just as much photographing the ocean, woodland and nightscapes. I eventually came to the conclusion that my aspirations and desires were not the normal popular genres but instead I opted for a totally different one in Capture the moment photography. One question I have been giving some thought too is if I could put the genre of my photography into a specific bucket I enjoy the most which would it be? Her work and ideas were featured in publications like New York Daily, The Telegraph, Daily Mail, UK Yahoo News, Parenting magazine, Bay Area Parent magazine, and in many other blogs and publications all over the world, from Australia to Brazil and Canada, Anna Eftimie is a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP). One of her participating photos were also included in another PPA's prestigious collection. Anna's "Blackboard Adventures" album, which features her newborn son, was included in the Professional Photographers Association's Showcase Book after participating in the International Photographic Competition organized by PPA in 2013. Among the jurors of this international competition were representatives from "Paris Match", "National Geographic", "Galerie Polaris" - Paris, "Lucie Awards" - New York, "Digital Photographer Magazine" - London, "NY Times", "Library of Congress" - D.C., just to name a few. In the summer of 2014, Anna's baby photography won the silver medal in "Fine Art" and bronze medal in "Portraiture" at the "Prix de la Photographie Paris". She also received a honorable mention in the "Newborns" category at the same competition. Anna's first ever participation to a professional competition brought her the first place in the "Babies" category at the NAPCP Image Competition, in January 2013. This allows them to shoot their creative newborn and baby photo sessions in the comfort of their client's homes. They have their own compact, mobile studio that is already famous for travelling all over Bay Area.
